air pockets

I have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. My settings were just changed (increased) probably because I gained some weight. the problem is, I have the full face mask, but I am a mouth breather, so I get air pockets that feel they are in my intestines!! I can actually press on my belly and bring the air up. Sometimes the air gets suck on the way up in my chest and is very uncomfortable. Wakes me out of my sleep. I just want one good night sleep................

Is it possible your mask is not sealing properly? You can call the company that supplied your cpap and ask if they have any suggestions.

It's also possible that the pressure change is the cause of the air.

Hang in there~

Hi, you need to consult your sleep specialist and see how comfortably you can breathe through nose, if requited take ENT consultation also. If you happen to gulp lot of air, it does cause abdomen discomfort, you need to practise to breathe easily from nose. Keep posting your thoughts and take care.
