I too suffered with EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) since high school.  After 18 LONG years I finally went to a neurologist and had a sleep study.  I was diagnosed with narcolepsy.  I am now trying various medications.  Maybe suggest to your doctor that you would like a sleep study.  This will tell you if you have sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, etc.  If this comes up negative, then ask for a multilatency sleep test.  This is where you take 4 naps throughout the day while wearing monitoring devices.  This is how I got my diagnosis.  Hope this helps!  Good luck, and BE PERSISTENT!!!

Hi, how old are you and what do you do now. how comfortable are you with your family, are you having any long standing stress due to family or other problems. You need to consult your physician to undergo a complete physical examination and necessary investigations. Do have nutritious diet, regular morning-evening walks/exercise, lot of liquids/ plenty of fruit juice. keep engaged yourself with some work or spend more time with your near and dear ones. Keep update about visits. Take care and relax!, bye.

Hello.

The heart murmur may not be significant as far as your present symptoms are concerned. If you decide to go for the sleep study, it will be wise to inform the doctor about the murmur.

Hello.

It was nice to know that you may not be having hypothyroidism. Now the other possibility, as you have rightly mentioned, is that of a sleep apnea. Have people told you that you snore a lot in sleep ? Sleep apnea involves a reduced oxygen supply to the lungs due to periods of apnea (breathing stopped for about 10 seconds).

Your next step should be to consult a sleep specialist and to do a sleep study if needed.

Hello.

How is your physique ? Is your weight in accordance to your height ? You may be having a low functioning thyroid. Hypothyroidism does give rise to such symptoms.
