Hi, welcome to the forum, you seem to have insomnia but a milder form. In young to middle aged individuals, sleep maintenance problems tend to be associated with stress, anxiety, or circadian rhythm sleep disorders.

The investigations which will help to diagnose the type and cause for insomnia are Polysomnography, Multiple sleep latency test and Actigraphy .

The therapy for this condition includes retaining of normal circadian rhythm by non-pharmacological therapy which includes; Photo therapy, maintenance of sleep hygiene. You need to go for morning exercises and work out which will make you fresh and active all day and tiredness at the end of day will help you to induce sleep naturally.

Yes it’s true you should not get addicted to sleeping pills which are very harmful. Comfortable bed, warm bath before sleep, warm milk sometime before sleep, fragrance in room, proper ventilation will help you.

As you are not having sleep in night you sleep in classroom. Once your night sleep cycle is recovered you will overcome with this problem. You need to avoid stress, anxiety and share your feelings with someone close.

I suggest you to consult physician. Take car and regards

Well, I have ever got insomnia sometimes and often I feel very tired the next morning :)
So, I gave it several treatment, such as not taking short naps during the day, (sometimes) having a bath with warm water, or reading something before going to bed, etc.
You can follow those treatment, maybe the can help you :)
Good luck !!!

Here's a post from Donna from the internet:

"Just wanted to say, I agree with Gail on the magnesium orortate being the best.
It is the most absorbable and so you get the most bang for your buck. ***I had
extreme insomnia, only slept two nights a week when I was first ill and with
magnesium orotate I was able to sleep immediately.***

Magnesium orotate is the most absorbable mag on the market. Not only does it go
into the cells it goes into the goodies inside the cells. Others only go to the
cell wall, if they even make it into the blood stream.

One of the reasons mag oxide is used as a laxative is that it does not absorb
well and stays in the intestines and there causes loose stool. Loose stool is a
sign of how much mag you are NOT absorbing."

try meditation when you are ready for bed, get comfy, close your eyes, think of an ocean or a calm area and take 3 or 4 seconds of breathing in and out. if that doesnt help , try to be more active and tire yourself out by taking a trip to a mall or store for an hour or do something you dont usually do everyday.

Do you consume a lot of chocolate or beverages that contain caffeine?  If so, try cutting down on those, especially for the last few hours before you go to bed.  Also, peppermint can have a calming effect.  Try one peppermint LifeSaver half an hour to an hour before bed and see if that helps at all.
