Just right after sleep and during. And I sort of slump over when I fully laugh. When I get mad and really irritated my bottom lip doesn't get numb but kinda hangs and feels wierd. I have three kids who wake me up all through the night and every time I am dreaming. I understand that people miss understand that they are dreaming all night due to the fact that they wake up and they are dreaming, but that is because in rem or right after you are more pron to wake up, for example to use the restroom. But I am being made to wake up. I have a 16, 10 and 2 year old so my taking care of little ones has been going on for a while! I am not trying to hide the biploar thing. I just want an unbiased opinion. Since I know I am not bipolar. I NEVER have energy since I was little so how could I possible ever have a manic moment! I was told long ago that it was because I was depressed and that it was sure to show up. REALLY??? They kept trying to find the right meds saying that they just needed to find one that fit. Well why not rethink the diagnosis instead? Sorry so long but this all made my life so much harder. I missed out on my early education because of this and made a lot of poor choices on those meds that I know wouldn't have happened if not for them. since not taking them 15 years I have been fine just really tired.
What do you mean by 'visions and voices'? Do you lose muscle control w/ shifts in emotion? You are correct about not mentioning prior bi polar diagnosis.
I am going to the doctor next week. I have avoided doctors for years since the few times I have gone back the always put me back on meds and then I end up at the e.r because I always have a scary bad reaction to them. My guess is that I am not bi polar, duh! My plan is not to say anything about the past bipolar diagnoses. I was just looking to prepair myself for my visit. Thank you
Have you had a recent sleep study? While you are not medicated is a good time to see what's going on while you sleep in case your sleep quality is at issue. There are other things to look at besides narcolepsy, and a sleep study is a good place to start.
