Pancreatitis and Nicorette--Please share your stories!

I was an otherwise healthy 42-year-old woman--haven't had a drink in 13 years, or a cigarette in 5 years. Trouble was I had a really bad Nicorette habit. Low and behold I have chronic pancreatitis and if I chew the gum--the pancreatic pain skyrockets. I would say "YES" Nicorette either causes, triggers, or aggrevates pancreatitis. I would like to hear from others about this or, please, point me to studies, reports, other forums, etc.
