just wanted to say

it has been 23 days since I quit and still doing about three to five (most of time about three) pieces of nicotine gum a day and still hanging in there; sure has been a really tough battle especially late at night when I cannot sleep (when I use to smoke the most and being on computer) plus when I am in lot of pain like last week or so due to fibromyalgia but I am determined to lick this addiction.  prayers sure can help as I pray all those who want or need to quit that they may do so.....and be successful.

Awesome of your 23 days!!  You're doing great!

I also have Fibro and used it to cope, but since I don't smoke inside, I would use it as an excuse to get up and move and do a bit of walking in the back yard.  I normally go for daily walks as well and have found that helps keep the pain under control.  Are you able to walk?  Walking will help with the anxiety, too.  My pain levels decrease remarkably when I stop smoking.  Do you see any difference in your pain at all?

I'm on day 8, myself.  I don't particularly want to smoke, but I agree, it's very difficult giving up something one used to use to cope with pain, boredom, etc, but surely we can find something else to replace it :)

Stay strong!  Those articles at whyquit Are helpful :)
