I quit due to a health scare about 6 months ago and went back when all ended up fine. What a stupid mistake. Thought I could have just one. NO SUCH LUCK. I just went to my cardiologist and he said i have slight pericardial effusion which is some fluid around my heart....it was found during a CT scan on my lungs that he sent me for because I smoke. now I am scheduled for a stress test and an echocardiogram. I am very nervous but I wonder what is wrong with me that I continue to smoke? I have to stop NOW. Any help or advice from those who quit cold turkey????
