Wellbutrin SR Vs XL

Which of the two versions mentioned, works better for weight loss? I've been precribed it to quit smoking, but would love to have the best version of it to lose some pounds while working on my smoking habit.

I tried Wellbutrun once and for a month it was awesome. Then one day my da was fooling around and I got instantly outraged and wanted to hurt her. I even raised my arm to hit her. I caught myself, went to the phone, clld the doc and asked why I was feeling that way. He told me to stop the meds, never take another one. Seems there is a certain person who should never take it. One that had experienced manic depression or is prone to it. Brings out symptoms in those people. But it work great up till then!

Wellbutrin 150 mg xl worked great for me while quitting smoking. Today I am tapering off the wellbutrin and I have 60 quit days from the cigs. I also lost 8 lbs in 2 months, however not sure if it was the xl or sr or even the current 75 mg hcl that I'm currently on now.
