I need a little help in understanding a few things from the present MRI my primary care dr. ordered. I have had cervical spinal fusions in the past. It seems with time new findings show up in the MRI most likely common. I am having gripping, hand numbness, spotty sharp pain, and bad right-side neck pain. I do not understand these findings can you please advise.(A diffuse disc osteophyte complex in combination with buckling of the ligamentum flavum.) Thank you for your time.
C3-4: There is preserved disc height. No significant disc bulge
or spinal canal stenosis. Uncovertebral joint and facet
hypertrophy causes mild bilateral foraminal stenosis. The degree
of foraminal stenosis has increased.
C4-5: There is preserved disc height. A diffuse disc osteophyte
complex in combination with buckling of the ligamentum flavum as
well as uncovertebral joint and facet hypertrophy causes no
significant spinal canal stenosis with severe right and mild left
foraminal stenosis. The degree of right foraminal stenosis has
increased.
C5-6: No significant disc bulge, spinal canal or foraminal
stenosis.
C6-7: A diffuse disc osteophyte complex in combination with
buckling of the ligamentum flavum as well as uncovertebral joint
and facet hypertrophy causes mild spinal canal stenosis with
moderate right and mild left foraminal stenosis, not
significantly changed.
C7-T1: There is preserved disc height. No significant disc bulge
or spinal canal stenosis. Uncovertebral joint and facet
hypertrophy causes mild right and moderate to severe left
foraminal stenosis, not significantly changed..
