Why is my heart rate elevated at night?

My resting heart rate is normally 55-60. However, my Apple Watch recorded that my heart rate was consistently 180-190bpm the entire night. When I woke up, my heart rate returned to 60s. Do we think this is a glitch? Has this happened to anyone else?

This was a glitch. If your heart rate was 180-190 bpm you would be wide awake and in distress.
