Is it normal to have shooting/burning pain after stroke?

I had a mini-stroke recently that that affected my entire left side.  After 4 hours I could swallow and somewhat move my left arm and leg and regained sensation although very uncoordinated.  My question is if it is normal that once I started moving my arms and legs I felt a burning shooting pain down the arm/leg.  It felt like electric shocks.  I don't recall ever having this happen with my previous TIAs and I am a little confused by this.  Thanks - Kristin

Hello Kristin,

My father just had a stroke that affected his left side. He is also feeling very intense electric shocks in his arms and legs. Did you find any relief for this pain? Can you give us some advice? Thank you and hope you are feeling better now.

Hello Dear,
Neurological symptoms are associated with transient ischaemic attack and you need to be watchful and monitor your blood pressure levels .Medications have to be taken daily and report to your neurologist regularly.Consult a physical therapist for rehabilitation and be alert if  you experience some neurological deficits or progressing weakness.
