SAH case ruptured aneurysm - coiling done, no improvement PLS suggest.

MY mother's Brain CT report done after 2 months of Brain Hemorrhage (SAH) states following:

"Small Hypodense Leison is seeing in right frontal parafalcin region suggestive of glicosis ?

CT Morphology is suggestive of small area of Atrophic Gliosis in right frontal paraflcin region with mild Ventriculomegaly & metallic implant."

Below is her case summary:
She suffered severe SAH (brain hemorrhage )with Left Aneurysm on 1st Jan'14. She was intubated and manged on antiepileeprics, antibiotics & other supportive measures. She was taken up for coiling treatment on 2nd Jan nad post procedure managed on anticoagulants and triple H therapy starte and observed in ICU. Her trachesostomy was done on 5th Jan to wean off ventilator. She was on ventilator for 10 days. She was shited to ward on stabilsation but her decannulation was not possible in view of excessive secretions.  After that she remain hospitalized for around 40 days in hospital with very little improvement of opening eyes.

Its now more than 2 months, she is not able to speak, eat, sit, walk or express anything. She is just able to move her both eyes and right side of body.  Can please some neuro doctor able to suggest on her condition and her latest report ? How is it ? How long she will be able to take improve ? How much she can improve in near future?

Please suggest .

Hi, understand your predicament. But it is difficult to exactly predict the outcome. As the post op edema and inflammation subside, she may recover some of her functions. You will need to continue with her medications and physical therapy. You can discuss the prognosis with her treating doctors, they can give you a better update. Good luck with her recovery. Regards.
