Hi Jerry

You did not say when you had the stroke or how severe.  My husband had his first stroke 5 years ago at 55 & last week another mild one.  His name is Jerry also!  Please please take your time & do not rush the healing process.  Have you been receiving any type of physical therapy?  This will help you know your limitations.  My husband was never able to get back 100% but some issues were enhanced by diabetes & neuropathy problems.  You may be 100% or you may need to make lifestyle/ job changes.  You need to talk with your doctor about applying for disability in this time of need.  I pray you have both physical & emotional support right now.  I will keep you in my prayers & please keep your spirits up.....your attitude plays a big part in the healing process.

Hi Jerry

Sorry to hear about your stroke :(

I'm not in the same situation as you as my job is mostly non physical.  However my advice to you is to figure out what you can do without going overboard & definitely consider a staged return to work.

I don't know how long ago your stroke was but fatigue is the one thing we all seem to have in common (although it usually gets less over time).  Rest is how our brains heal so please make sure you give your brain time to heal between activities/time at work.

HTH
