What is long-term recovery for spastic muscles?

What is a permanent correction to spastic muscles? Have any of your doctors explained what it takes to permanently correct spastic muscles. I know about the oral meds - baclofen and zanaflex which have tiring side effects, Also the temporary botox or phenol shots. Stretching and icing are short term facilitation methods. Has anyone there overcome their spastic muscles and how?

Cause was ischemic stroke on right side, Main problem with spasticity is finger flexors, biceps, latissimus, all on left side. Lower limbs are able to be worked thru. Age at stroke 50, currently 52, was in excellent shape which allowed me to fight thru baclofen and zanaflex and still move. By knocking out my biceps with botox, I was able to engage my triceps, however spasticity came back to the biceps even after 3 rounds of botox. Finger flexors were knocked out twice but my extensors have not been able to be engaged.
Thanks,
Dean

Hello Dear,

The treatment option of spastic muscles is dependant on the cause?
What is the exact cause?
Is it due to cerebral palsy or stroke etc?

Which region is affected? Is it lower limbs or upper limbs or neck?
What is the age?

Answers to these questions would enable better understanding and evaluation.

Best.
