massive right side of brain

mother 73 had stroke over 80 per cent of rt side brain affected cant move left side responds to minor commands starting to open eyes my question is is there chance of a decent recovery talking lifting arm

Well you'll have to ask the doctor specifically what areas are dead and what they controlled(that will be extremely hard to recover from). Next to ask what the penumbra covered and the functions they controlled( this area normally recovers in 6-12 months but still requires tons of work using neuroplasticity to get it back.) The doctor will probably say that all strokes are different and all recoveries are different - challenge him/her to justify the recovery answer. Get a 3d map of the brain and have them map the damaged areas on the model.
