NOT TRUE: My Husbands Stroke Was Caused By Radiation He Received For Cancer Of The Vocal Cord; In Which Deteriated His (Arteries), In Which Turned Into That Coroided Arterie. Not All Strokes Are Caused By High Cholesterol, There Should Be Manitory Appointments For People Who Have Treatments On The Neck Area, and If They Choose To Not Go, Then That's On Them. But Doctors Should Be Made More Aware Of What Might Happen 10-20 Years Down The Road And Tell The Patient He Should Have Follow Up's Every 5-10-20 Years For Follow Up's For The Rest Of There Lives Those Are Just Pre-Cautions That Could Happen After Any Radiation Treatments.
P.S. My Husband Is 57 Years Old and Has Cancer, Heart Attack, and Stroke.
I beg to differ maureenannf, the diet should depend on what caused the stroke in the first place. If its due to high cholesterol, then the diet should consist of foods that are low in cholesterol. Blocked arteries due to cholesterol are a major cause of strokes..
