I had the 1st trimester screen yesterday. Won't get the numbers back until Fri or later. I know my age will make the odds worse but I'm hoping for the other risk elements to be negative (or whatever you call them) and make it better. Come on 1:1000. They did the ultrasound and it seemed like everything looked good with that. The lady didn't really say much, but I asked about the length of the baby and the nuchal translucency and she told me what they were. The length was a little more than the avg for the age and the nuchal number was 1.6 which is normal. Yay! This gives me some hope that my numbers will be ok. With the last baby, I had the quad marker test and that came back higher than a person would want, so I had to have an amnio. I wouldn't mind not having to do a cvs or amnio this time. So wish me luck again! One thing is pretty cool; this was the 4th ultrasound and I've got pics from every time. Has anyone else taken the 1st trimester screen and how did it turn out for you?
