I'm in Rhode Island and my Re is in NYC Newhope fertility Center. They offer frozen eggs. The cost is $10,000.00 for 6 eggs and they guarantee at least 1 blastocyst. If not they give you 6 more for free. He likes to freeze the embies and then do the transfer. so the cost is $1200.00 for the FET and for storage of any other embies. I tried a mini ivf which got 3 to blastocyst and transferred 2 got PG but MC at 9 weeks. We just did an fet but bfn so now I am going to pick my donor on Friday. I'm really excited. I turned 45 in june and I really want to have a baby. I just don't have it in me to keep trying with my own eggs.
Good luck to all of you!
Melanie
Sorry for the late response, just found this post again. We got 17 eggs, but only one made it to 5 day blast stage, so we only transferred 1 blast. Had my first U/S today and saw heartbeat!
We did a mock cycle, no problems there, but had issues with delayed period after stopping BC, only had a week to get lining where it needed to be, so feel extremely blessed that we got this far!
Yes, congrats Stargazy! How many eggs did you get from your donor?
Congrats stargazy! That is wonderful!
Kimmy16...I am having those same thoughts...would love twins, but 3 would be difficult, but my RE also suggests transferring 3....scary! :-)
Congratulations on your beta. I have a question if you don't mind. How many embryos did you transfer? I'm doing shared donor and my Dr. said he suggest transfering 3 embryos. I would love twins but I don't know about 3 financially it would be hard. I'm 43. And did your RE do a mock cycle. I have 1 more week of my mock cycle to go. Again congrats.
Went with donor eggs through our RE office, Advanced Fertility Care in AZ and did shared cycle, $18K plus miscellaneous other cost for meds etc. That's for eggs, exams, transfer etc. Had ET 11/15, and just got my second beta results today, 434! Still in shock, because we only ended up with one good embryo for transfer. Hope that helps :)
Hummm...my I ask what place in AZ? I am also seeing a clinic in AZ? Don't seem to be very many ppl using or fessing up to Donor eggs..hard to find on here..
Wondering those very same things....we just got an egg donor through an agency in Arizona and will be going through a transfer mid January! EEK! excited, but of course, nervous!
