Hi, welcome to our group. There are a lot of us here TTC over 45. I'm sorry about your losses. The great news is you can get pregnant! You just got to find that 1 good egg. That's our battle, it truly is. I am here for you and so are we all!
I miscarried last week and I didn't have it tested but going into this I knew that this was a risk I was going to go through at 45. I made it to about 9 weeks but never saw a heart beat or an embryo, just an empty sac. I feel a little better about that. I have another snow baby and I think I will be doing that this time and see what happens.
Good luck and SSBD,
I am so sorry to read of the details surrounding your loss. Gosh, you have been through a bit and it is still hard with any loss.
I've been lucky to have fallen naturally with each of these pregnancies, however the loss just drags you down one step further each time.
I am really praying that everything goes perfectly for you and your last snow baby... when are you planning on commencing this process?
Hi Carrie,(and plumber43)
I am sorry for all your losses, and feel your pain.
I am 47 and still holding out hope. I became pregnant on my 1st round of clomid at 45 but misscarried june '10. I have been trying for 4 years. I seem to spend my life searching for any sucesss stories of people our age on the internet. On a positive note, a friend of mine who is 44 (and not trying) just discovered she is 26 weeks pregnant. She thouhgt she was going through the change and was shocked. So it can happen. Also a close friend of mine had a little girl at 43, both happy and healthy, the little one is a very bright and bouncy 3 year old now. There's hope for people. However, I have a feeling that i'm the oldest here. I wish I could hear from anyone my age having a success story. Anyway, I'm here to listen/talk should anyone need someone. (only we know what it's like) Good luck ladies,it can happen for us. XX Lynn
I am not new here but with so many unsuccessfull IUI and IVF I started thinking of stop trying....and so stopped logging in to this forum...but this forum always was so supportive and informative. And then I got preg with clomid and Menopure IUI cycle, but unfortunately baby's heart bat was not very strong at week 8 and no heart beat week and 10 that was so heart breaking, I had to miscarry my baby. but then I wanted to try again in Oct-2011 but I have only left tube open and my 7 follicles were on right side I had three on left side but they were very small so I didn't do any meds just tried naturally but of course no luck. I am not giving up hope now as I did get preg in June 2011 wiht my own egg....this has really encouraged me try again. And I am ready to do a cycle this month providing I have follicles on my lft side and by the way I AM 46& 1/2years old now. So I really like htis group with so many girls in same shoes as I am and all of us trying.....baby dust for all
Hey ladies, I am hearing you... this ttc journey is something that no one can prepare you for, especially if time after time you fail (well, that is how it makes me feel).
Lyn I will be 47 in December... so I am the same age as you. Stay positive as I really believe that the mind is a ver powerful tool. You will see that I have been very successful in conceiving naturally, sadly I just can't find that precious sticky one!
Amo123 you too have been trying so many different methods and my heart just goes out to you. And yes, I too send out your statement... BUCKETS OF STICKY BABY DUST TO US ALL!!!!
