12 yr old yeast infection

My 12 year old daughter has a yeast infection.  Is there anything over the counter that I can give her?

Definately tell mom or dad.
If you're sexually active I understand you may have reservations because it could be an STD. Only a doctor would know for sure. Either way, USE PROTECTION. The BEST protection is abstinence. If you're NOT yet sexually active, tell mom or dad. I know but sometimes dad is all you've got and If he's a good dad he'll understand and not make it uncomfortable for you.  EITHER WAY TELL YOUR PARENTS so you can see a doctor or over the counter meds. If left too long it could lead to serious medical issues.

You should just tell your mum about it but you don't need to tell your boyfriend if you don't want to because he doesn't need to know

I am almost 13 years old and I think I have yeast infection. I am so scared to tell my mom, but I know I am going to have to tell her sooner or later :( I was looking on the computer for the symptoms and I matched all of them especially the one about the discharge..eww. But its really uncomfortable!!! I've already started my period so i dont know it that makes a difference. But someone plzz tell me how you get rid of this!!!!!!!! I know there is meds for it but I am not sure about ones for my age and size, and i definately dont want the one that goes like...up there cuz i dont really like tampons. so someone give me some advice!!!!

I got one at 13 - first one, how embarassing I got my dad to take me to the walk in (even more embarassing!)

Over the counter yeast infection meds are great, but they are usually tablets you have to insert into the vagina - she may not be comfortable doing that.  A doctor can prescribe an oral medication if she isnt - that's in Canada anyway, maybe the states has oral meds over the counter.  It would all be in the feminie hygiene isle.

Yes.  Go to the feminine products aisle of your grocery store and there are cures.  It used to be by prescription only but at least a decade ago they went over the counter instead of RX.
