Chostochondritis bumo or lump near top of sternum

I have chostochondritis but I have a little lump at the beginning (top) of my sternum right below my clavical.

I took an xtray and the radiologist reading said it was fine. I thought my bone was sticking out or something.  ng if its a lump...

It would look like a spot on the x-ray, but the radiologist would be able to distinguish bone from something else. There are a lot of possibilities for what it could be. I'd make another doctor's appointment and get a second opinion. Hope it all goes well.

THank you.. I didnt realize i post this in the teen section LOL.. So you think the  little lump could ne that. When  showed my husband he said it looks like the bone. But let me ask. Will a extray show that is was something like a lump or something maybe a spot since the xray only show bones..

It could just be a small calcification or something else, but if the radiologist said it was fine, I wouldn't be worrying about it. If it really bothers you, make another doctor's appointment and get a second opinion. Don't be afraid to ask questions either if you feel that something isn't right.
