Vagina and Bed Bugs

This is so gross to even think about. I just recently learned we have a small out break of bed bugs. They have mostly been living in my room. The exterminator comes in 2 days but i was told to keep sleeping in my room to avoid the bugs looking for a host. I am currently on my period. And suddenly its more difficult to put my tampon in and im bleeding more as well as differently. Its hard to explain how its different. But im worried that a bed bug was attracted to my blood and crawled in under my urethra. Any ideas?

Stress can cause late, early, heavier or lighter, flow during your period. It's very unlikely that they're crawling on (or heaven's forbid in) your vagina if you wear underwear to bed. They don't want to be caught so they're more likely to bite you on places you're uncovered, because it's easier for them. Bed bugs have been known to cause anxiety, depression symptoms, and paranoia because of how stressful the situation is. So it's very likely that the stress is messing with your period and not that the bedbugs are directly the cause.

TLDR; it's probably stress

I'm not very familiar with bed bugs but have been living very harshly for the last 2 years and I'm only 18 years old and I have been in and out of place and place and an emergency shelter with bedbugs and I never thought of this until this time being on my period and having bed bugs, a week I was on my period everything hurting abnormally blood smelled different(as gross as that is to say) and am sitting here very upset and afraid I don't know what to do lol!! Should I go to a doctor?? I'm going too anyways I just don't want to be laughed at..... I've been having really bad stomach issues for the last while and I'm scared I've had them living inside me for this whole time and maybe that's even why I have them where I live now..... :( thank you for all of your comments and answers people :) and I have bad anxiety and panic attacks so I could be overreacting but still. My period was so bad I thought it could have been a miscarriage but thank you all! Going to doctor today!! If can see doc then hospital!!

Omg I have the same question.  I moved into a house with roommates and the sleazy money-hungry landlord didn't tell me they were still recovering from a bed bug infestation.  I found out 3 weeks after living there saw 3 in one day.  Moved back home but I'm afraid I brought them with me.  Now I'm on my period and the blood seems different than usual , thinner.  I'm afraud they have been crawling around in my privates.  Dud you ever talk to a doctor about this?  What did they say?  Please help me.  And yes, people, I know they "are not attracted to blood" but that doesn't mean they haven't been crawling around down there.  They could be biting, feeding multiplying?  So bad to think about but i have to now.  I haven't been to a doctor in a long time I really don't want to go for this unless it's necessary.  I'm so mad at the landlords for not telling me.

Bed bugs are not attracted to blood. That's simply what they eat. Bed bugs find you by scent and the carbon dioxide you breathe out.

Bed Bugs are attracted to the CO2 you breathe out. Meat has nothing to do with it. They find you by the carbon dioxide and then feast on your blood while you sleep. Only heat (excess of 122 degrees for 20-40 minutes) and or chemicals (only available through a professional as they're highly regulated by the EPA) are effective means of killing Bed Bugs.

Yes you do get bed bugs in and on your vaginal area and it doesn't  matter if your on your period I am losing my mind seriously.i came to this site to get answers but i feel lost and they hurt so bad i can hardly wipe or even pee use baby oil all the time that kills them this also soothes your private area my prayers go out to all of us we should never have to ever go through this alone.

Omg are you serious?  What a nightmare.  Did you ever talk to a dr. about it? What did they say?  I am just panicking.  I guess they would not be choosy with which body part they go to so it would be a possibility?.

clean very very well and then keep a pillow in between your legs. and sleep else where when everyone is asleep[so they don't find out or until the morning so you can sleep well for at least a night]. hm.. also leave something bloody in your room. so if they are attracted to blood then they will go to that bloody thing first.
okay.

I will bet you are right but no one will beleive you until it becomes widespread. I know they have entered me as I have felt them. including my colon.  I started having problems test did not show anything took good bacteria Sustenax cleared up my dygestive problems. good luck
