distended hard lower abdomen

Hello, last month i have noticed that my lower abdomen is hard, i mean really hard, I thought is just due to lack o exercise and not eating healthy foods.
so i tried to exercise and eat healthy foods, but i still have this bloated lower abdomen. even when i have a BM. i have a BM everyday,my period is nomal. I dont feel any pain though just a bit of discomfort. i will go to the doctor probably next week, i cant go today because it is our finals and i know the doc will have to do various tests. so have anyone of you have these symptoms? im actually really scared :( please help me

An ovarian cyst that large is really a freak occurrence, it's possible but really unlikely. Having ovarian cancer in your family history though means your dr should really exam them closely, just in case. Hopefully it's completely unrelated, but if it's not sooner the better.

I agree with Caregiver too- if you get a shrug off from your regular gp today go to the ER.

You have had this problem for a few days, but I believe it warrants an immediate trip to the emergency room. The problem may be minor, but there is a chance it would be life-threatening. A "hard" abdoman is something that needs to be addressed as of yesterday. Post back when they come up with a diagnosis.

thanks for the reply.

i had my period twice since i had  this bloating going on, and it's regular.  i had menstrual cramps though. but i always had it since then.
is an ovarian cyst something to worry about? im afraid this might be ovarian cancer, my aunt is an ovarian cancer survivor (diagnosed at stage 4).. I'm 18 years old, i havent gained or lost weight.

no there is no possibility that I am pregnant.Im a virgin.

Two things come to mind: 1- bloating from say a massive ovarian cyst. Do you have irregular period, diagnosed PCOS, or ovarian cysts in your family history?

The second thing that comes to mind is pregnancy -is there any theoretical possibility that you're pregnant?
