I have this rash on my penis.  It is skin colored little bumps mostly on my scrotum and underside of my penis.  It does not really itch.  If it does it is when I am sweating.  I was told on this website it was sweat buildup but i have worn boxers to prevent sweating but it has not worked. I have not told my mom but she schedualed a checkup around my birthday. It will be pretty embarrasing.  Any idea on what i should do or what the cure is for my rash? thanks a lot!! ps i am 13

Well it may or may not be hair follicles, but do keep in mind that the penile shaft and scrotum is very bumpy/lumpy in general. You have a number of sebaceous(sweat) glands there and those can cause irritation. It is a good idea just to get it looked at just in case, and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. The doctor has already seen it all before and they are there to help.

If it does not itch or bother you, it may just be hair follicles that look like bumps and not a rash. If it itches when you are sweaty, try to keep the area dry and clean to prevent clogged pores and irritation. You can use a natural deodorant there, that contains no harsh chemicals, but make sure to talk to your doctor about that before using it.
