Cutting, depression, ED?

I've been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, feel depressed a lot of the time and cut regularly. I go for therapy with the NHS but I still feel terrible. Does anyone know how I can start to feel better?

Destressing and relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, yoga, and exercise (walking, swimming etc) should be tried.

Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems.  Part of your problems can be overcome by doing things you like (such as a hobby, an exercise activity, a mind stimulating activity). This will keep you happy and focused. Having a goal in life and working towards it also keep some happy.
Sometimes therapy alone is not enough to treat depression and anorexia. You need to consult a psychiatrist and start taking some medications to improve your condition. With time, and continuous therapy, you may later be weaned off medications.
Hope this helps. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
