I'm so glad to hear that you stopped hurting yourself. That's the most important thing.
Have you considered counseling? Is that an option for you?
Do you journal? How about trying a journal where you only write things that you like about yourself? Everyone - including you - has good qualities, physically, mentally and emotionally. Start each day by writing 3 things that you like about yourself. If it's your physical appearance that you struggle with the most, then focus on that.
It may feel dumb at first, but just go with it. It may be things that seem silly at first - that's okay. Do it anyway. This is for your eyes only. Put it in a password protected file on your computer or phone.
It might be things like you like your ears, or your feet, or whatnot at first. That's okay. It may be just that you're healthy. Just go with whatever you come up with. It will get easier over time.
This will make you focus on the positive things - and there are positives. :)
