do you think i have depression?

uhm.. this is a long story.. so here goes..

i'm an 18 year old college student studying in a university which doesn't know the word "vacation". we have 4 terms in one year, so yeah, about 11 months of school and a month without classes... imagine the stress: paperworks, tests, issues.. bla bla, you know, school related problems, only quadrupled. oh! forgot to mention that i'm a nursing student, so make that quadruple times ten intensity of hardness .. (im not a bright student)

i can handle it though.. its just that me and my boyfriend broke up a few weeks ago.. and well, you know, more stress..

since then, i haven't been able to sleep well.. i mean, i'm tired but i just can't fall asleep. i lay down at about 10pm, then fall asleep at about 3am! nothing but tossing and turning in between the said times.. i don't know what happened.. i just can't get sleep!! :(

please help me.. i don't know whats happening.. what should i do?

Good I hope it helps you!  It really helped me.  Also like I said write a list of things you need to do.  And list them in order of importance.  I know nursing majors work there buts off.  It will pay off when your all done.

Hey, im also a college student and I know your situation.  I went through the same problem about 6 months ago where my girlfriend broke up with me.  I honestly dont think you are depressed by what you have explained.  Stress can cause your body to become very tired, and effect your hormone levels which can cause you to be tired.  I noticed that you said "im not a bright student."  Usually when I say that to myself I am not being organized lol.  Try writing a list of things down that need to be done.  It makes it easier to visualize what is important and what is not.  Also, if you are angry, tired, sad or any emotion that you are feeling, write it down why you feel that way.  When I was depressed I would cry out of nowhere so my remedy was to write down why I felt that way.  The next few months are going to rough with thoughts, feelings, emotions and etc. But after you get over it all, you will feel so much better and you will be very appreciative of everything.  Dont dwell on the break up either.  You have a long life left ahead of you. Before you go to bed try to have that list done!  While laying down, take deep breathes while focusing on your breathing pattern.  Keep it nice and slow and in minutes you will be out cold.  Hot showers before laying down also help.  Good Luck and I hope this helps.  Like I said I have been depressed, and when I was I didnt even want to be living.
