Well, you wouldn't be feeling "flutters" or a pulse with your hand at this point. So you only went off the pill 20 days or so ago? it's possible you just missed the hormone "spotting" that comes after getting off a contraceptive pill - it's not truly a menstrual period after ovulation like a regular period is.
Often, when you first stop taking a contraceptive pill it takes awhile for you to start ovulating again, but some women ovulate 2 weeks after stopping an not starting up a new packet of pills. A pregnancy test wouldn't be reliable yet - it's too soon - but if you're not trying to get pregnant you'll need to use another form of birth control from here out and will want to take a pregnancy test a couple weeks from now.
If you had protected intercourse, it's even less likely that you're pregnant. I'm not sure what the "pulse" in your stomach was, but there's no way at this point that you would have been feeling a baby kick or a baby "pulse".
Considering your timeline, getting spotting a month after you went off the pill, it's likely you're back in a fertile cycle and should keep using other forms of birth control.
What made you feel like you needed a "break" from the birth control pill, specifically?
