I was the same age as you and my molm wasnt too thrilled either because she was pregnant herself , talk about awkward . But she came around & she was in the delivery room with me whwn I gave birth ! Now me & my mom are bestfriends , but it did take time , just be patient with her & try to accomplish as much as you can on your own because she probably stuxk on the thought that her baby is having a baby & that your not ready to care for a child , whoch is understandable , hope this helps & good luck sweetie !

Brittany, yes, the heart echo is just a precaution. I think you will love having a little girl. I sure did. My husband worked a lot so it was me and my daughter to spend more time together. The baby years were kind of hard because I was so young. It got better though as my daughter and I got older. Then came the teen years. Ha ha! Everything turned out fine though and I could not be more proud of the young woman she is today.
Nina, I'm so glad to hear you will be finishing school! That is awsome, and so important.
It really is good to see 2 young women post on here about their futures. You're both doing so well. It's great!

I'm thinking the baby is a girl. You'll have to let me know.
Yes, you do have a good head on your shoulders. It's upsetting to see very young girls coming here to this forum either wanting a baby or they're already pregnant. Many have no plans for the future except depending on their parents, or the boyfriend. As you already know, boyfriends can just walk away. It happens all the time and it's a shame. A girl does not get pregnant by herself.
Thank you for telling me about yourself. It really is good to hear a young woman talk about her future and have such a good head on her shoulders.

I think I will be fine too. And yeah not many people stay in school but its not like ill have my baby during school im not due til june 3rd. And I hope they are alright too. Poor kids. And yeah the way things happen sometimes its crazy to me. But I already love this baby more then anything in the world I find out the sex tomorrow so that shoul d be fun. I got a good head on my shoulders ik I can do this :) I knew that if im old enough to have sex im old enough to take responsibility for what happend. Its keeps me going and makes me want to succeed even more

No the should'nt be having sex at that age. It happens all the time though. She does'nt post here anymore. She told me to mind my own business. I told her this is my business if your will be getting any kind of assistance because it's coming out mine and my families paychecks. Anyway, I do hope those babies are alright. This was awhile back so she should have been born by now.
I really do think you're going to be fine. It's kind of rare to see any of the girls on here that are still in school, making straight A's and will have a career lined up after the baby is born.
It is strange how things happen. I lost my dad a few months before I got pregnant. My husband and I thought it was a "safe" time because I was do for my monthly in a few days. I got pregnant on what would have been my dads birthday. We were not able to have any more children after our daughter was born. So yes, maybe you getting pregnant when you did had something to do with your brother. You were using protection and not trying for a baby.

Well yeah they shouldnt even be having sex at 13 in my opinion. They cant even legally work they are barely teenagers having twins they dont realize how hard that will be. I doubt they will finish school hell they are in middle school! And I know how hard its going to be and people say I glamorize it but im not im just making the best out of a bad situation. I know I will be a good mom and do what I need to for my kid. My brother never had the chace to experience a family and stuff he was only 23 he was just starting college told me because I was working so hard to make straight A's that I inspired him. And the crazy thing is I got pregnant a day or so before he died. Idk I think it was maybe meant to be that way it may sound stupid but it just feels like that considering I was using protection. But thank you I do my best I havent had the easiest past few years

I think it's awsome that you will have your CNA before the baby is born. I really do not try to get on to any of you girls. It's just so very hard taking care of a baby. Many young girls do not realize this. Once you have a child your life is not your own any more. It is all about that baby. I was talking to a 13 year old girl on here awhile back. She was pregnant with twins and was so happy. She is just a child herself and does'nt realize how hard this is going to be. She said her parents would be taking care of her and the babies. Also the father who was only 14. He is not even legal to work! Anyway, things like that really upset me because I do worry about what kind of life those babies will have. You have a good head on your shoulders and I believe you and your baby are going to be just fine. I'm so sorry you lost your brother. I can't even imagine what it's like to lose a sibling.

Well trust me I dont want my mom paying for anything even though she wants to thats why ill have my CNA before my baby gets here. Trust me im very proud my brother told me how proud of me he was a few months ago right before he died and thats why I work so hard to keep my grades up and do what I need to. It is not fun getting pregnant but if I hadnt the drs wouldn't know I may have a clotting disorded which im pretty happy to know. I know it wong be easy but noone signed a contract saying life was lol and I unfortunately do not have her/his dad around to help like yours did so im on my own and thats why my mom is helping me because she was a single mom herself and her mom was there for her while she went to nursing school.

Oh yes, pregnancy is 100% preventable. If you don't have sex you can not get pregnant.
I really am glad to hear you're doing well. Getting straight A's is something to be very proud of.
I'm not trying to get on to any of you girls. I care and that's why I post here. I was a teen mother, as I said. It is the hardest job in the world. Girls should not think it's fun to be pregnant and have a baby. It is so very hard under the best circumstances yet alone being a single teen mom. Every child needs a good home, food, medical care and so much attention.
If you choose to have sex be prepared because you could get pregnant. You said you did with using birth control. It can happen. If you're old enough to have sex and get pregnant then you're old enough to take care of the baby and not need anyone's help. I took that chance and I got pregnant. It was not up to my mom to do anything for me. It was up to me and my husband. We paid for everything our daughter needed. I worked days and he worked nights. No welfare, no Medicaid, no food stamps. And no living with either of our parents.

Im not saying take care of the child im saying be there for emotional support and im 17 pregnant graduating early with straight A's and I start my CNA classes in march but til then my moms here for me 100% because thats what a good mother does. I got pregnant with using protection AND birth control so I dont wanna hear that is 100% preventable.

I was a teen mom myself. I had my only daughter at 16. I also got married, my husband worked, we had our own place and after my daughter was born I worked. We depended on no one. It was not my moms responsibility to take care of me and my daughter. It was mine and my husbands. We made the decisions, not my mother. If you girls are going to have unprotected sex be prepared for this kind of reaction when you get pregnant. Why is it up to your parents to take care of you and that baby?  Several forms of birth control are free at the clinic. If you are not capable of taking care of a child on your own then don't have unprotected sex.

Either way whether is was her choice or not her mom is her mom idc if shes 16 or not. A mom is supposed to be there for their kid all the time. **** happens bur neglecting your child that needs your help is the most fuccked up thing ever if you ask me.

Your mom did not choose for you to get pregnant, you did. When you do get pregant you should be prepared for you and your husband or partner to take care of everything. Why is this your moms responsibility?
I'm giving a mothers point of view. I would be very upset if my 16 year old daughter got pregnant. Yes, I would love the baby and help as much as I could. But, I would also be devastated. Did you not think of how you were going to take care of this baby before you got pregnant? I see too many girls having babies and the grand parents end up taking care of those babies. Maybe your mom already is struggling herself right now.
