well.....hmmm. i'm not sure. lol. it could just be a heavy period. i know i have those occasionally. even know while i'm on b/c i still get the occasional, freak heavy period. mine only last a day but still. when i was your age i'd get a heavy period that lasted for 6 days sometimes and other times it would be light and last for 4 days. has your doctor called you yet? since it's been 2 days you can call her. did you ask her about the unusually heavy bleeding? tell her that you're concerned and she may be able to give you other thoughts than what i have.
no, not that ive noticed.
just really really really heavy bleeding that i havnt experienced befor.
like fill up a super tapon in an hour kind of bleeding.
why?

are there a lot of clots? or more/bigger then usual?

Ill keep you updated!
:)
i hope that helps some. and let me know what your doctor says. and good luck!
it could be a miscarriage. have you ever heard of a chemical pregnancy? those are very early miscarriages. usually before the woman even knows she's pregnant and when it happens she thinks it's just a bad period. There may be mild abdominal cramping as well as mild spotting just prior to what most women think is their normal menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle usually begins on time or a few days late. normally you would be able to get a positive pregnancy test IF you even suspected you were pregnant but the baby/fetus wouldn't develop enough before the miscarriage to show up on an u/s. some reasons for a chemical pregnancy are the egg doesn't attach properly to the uterine lining, chromosome problems with the fetus, uterine abnormalities both congenital or acquired like fibroids, low hormone levels, luteal phase defect or certain infections.
i very much doubt you was pregnant and i dont think you have had a misscarage, i may be wrong obviously but from reading your other posts it doesnt sound like a miscarage.
i have had periods for nearly 6 years now and there still not regular ( i have PCOS tho so that makes a difference)
my 'period' -which were caling it now until doctors tomorow is heavier than usual and unusual becuase i had brown discharge/bleeding for over a week and its been three days with heavy bleeding.
the cramps arnt bad no, its more a continuois discomfort and im more worried its implant and or miscarrige because ive had unprotected sex and was a few weeks late on my period/ couldnt remember last time had period and had had unprotected sex jut over 3 weeks ago.
i normally have my periods on a 27 day cycle and has been more or less regular for a year or two now.
its just unusul that ive been feelign this zapped from energy, feeling discomfort , bloating/putting on weight around belly (not that that would be a def sign of pregnancy-more my bad diet and lack of exersice haha) and this sickly feeling everyday and disturbed sleep during the night.
ill just have to wait out until tomorow at doctors.
to make it better mum talked about pregnancy and her borth experiences.
oh good timing-im freaking out about being pregnant!! hah.
yea ive never relaly had horrible cramping during periods its either light cramping or discomfort and the occasional bad cramps so its hard to tell.
thanks x
was your period heavier than usual? were the more clots than usual? it could be a miscarriage. were the cramps very painful (i know sometimes the cramps are worse with a miscarriage). if no..then you could just be having a period. you're still young so your periods won't be 100% normal. they could be late/early or on time. i know even when i thought my cycles were regular.....they proved not to be. lol. that was one of the other reasons i went on b/c when i was 16 (i had HORRIBLE cramping when i was a teenager and that was the main reason i was on it.) because it helped to regulate everything and my flow wasn't nearly as heavy or for as long as it had been.
