Spotting?

My girlfriend told me today that her ovaries hurt or feels funny. Now she usally always tells me this before she gets her period. But today she also told me that last saturday, Sept 26 2009 that when she went to the bathroom to pee, she noticed some blood the size of your thumb but a little smaller.

Someinfo....
We did have unprotected sex for about not even a minute; which leaves a chance of pre ejaculation to enter her vagina. I did not ejaculate sperm inside her( That was on September 13.) Also, the next 2 days  (Sept 14 or 15) she got her period and it WAS AN ACTUALLY period not a bunch of spotting.

Again today is Sept 29 which only leaves about almost 14-15 days of her last period and about 12-13 days of the last time we had sex.

Could this be spotting???
How soon does spotting start?
My gf said, a period can start within 15 days as well. True?
Help please.

if you had unprotected sex then yes there is a chance she's pregnant. wait until her next period is due and if it's late wait 3-7 days and ask her to take an hpt.
