Any relation to TMD (TMJ) and Tinnitus?

I've dealt with TMD(TMJ) for over 20yrs. I was told I've -the jaw of a severely worn out 90yr. old woman. Specialists said it was severe. I am (in the past 8months, was suddenly hit by tinnitus-not a coming & going kind, an ever present kind. I do also have other conditions that could be causing this, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if TMJ/TMD can cause such a thing? It's only in my left ear...not the right. Sometimes it sounds like a jet 747 roar, other times it's mixed with a sooo very high pitch "eeeeee".
Just wondering...it just came on less than 8mo. ago.
But like I said, I do have another condition that can cause it...
Thx. for any help, insight or info.!

I am not sure if there is a relation but I started to get tinnitus at 14. I had jaw surgery at 17 and pretty much still have had since. It gets worse with certain meds that I know for sure. Are you on any meds by chance?
