left ankle swelling
MY HUSBAND IS 50 YRS OLD.AND RECENTLY HAS HAD HIS LEFT ANKLE START TO SWELL UP,EVERY MORNING ITS SWOLLEN AND STAYS SWOLLEN ALL DAY,BUT HE HAS NO PAIN WHAT SO EVER.HE HAS CARPEL TUNEL IN BOTH WRIST HAS HAD IT FOR YRS!! HE WORKS ALL THE TIME HES A WORK A HALIC!!
WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE SWELLING IN IS LEFT ANKLE? IVE SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND MANY SO CALLED ANSWERS,THE HEART, OR VEIN DAMAGE IN THE LEFT LEG,EDEMA NOT GETTING THE ANSWERS I NEED,CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

my husband is 6"2 his weight-230 yes hes a maintaince man for about 30 properties,he works 10-12 hrs aday.he eats alot of goodies(cookies ice cream etc) not much salt and i did read online a couple places did say about eating bananas...
What is his height and weight?
Is he on his feet at work or any other time for long periods?
Does he eat a lot of salty foods or salt his food a lot?
If this were my husband I would make a doctor appointment, then go to drug store for an OTC diuretic in the diet aid department/ aisle...... Have him stay home all next weekend, so he will be close to bathroom, make sure he eats 2 bananas a day to replace the potassium.
If he's better by Monday, cancel the dr appointment. Just what I would do with my husband
