Effects of changing brand of levothyroxine

Hi

I take two different dosages of levothyroxine pills together (50mcg + 25mcg) to get the required dose i need (75mcg). Recently however when i went to the chemist the 50mcg was made by a different lab and had slightly different inactive ingredients (probably what is used to coat the tablets). My headaches that had improved are now returning quite severely after being on the new 50mcg levothyroxine pills with my normal 25mcg ones for 4/5 weeks. Is it possible to react towards different brands of the same thing?

Thanks

Same experience.... when pharmacy tried to do the switcharoo from my regular Levoxyl 125 mcg, to Levothyroxine.... there is something in the Levothyroxine that doesn't let the medication be absorbed properly in my body.

Just another story for you to think about.  Cheeper is not always as effective!!  And yet insurances push it. By the way if it's cheeper, for you then the ingredients must be too.  IMHO

Thanks. The difference in fillers between the brands was in the one that i liked had sucrose and the one that i am not doing well on contains stearic acid. What does that mean?

It may be a reaction to a filler from a different manufacturer.  There is a 75mcg tablet -- may be easier to take just one pill a day.
