Frustrated Thyroid Issues

In November I felt as tho there was a lump in my throat when I swallowed and on two occasions felt as tho something may have burst.  After a month of these issues I went to my doctor and he felt the swollen gland.  He prescribed a zpack and said if I wasn't feeling better to come back.  I felt better and did not think anything else about it.
I then went to my dermatologist because since my son was born 3.5 years ago I have experienced a cycle of hair loss. At first it was called postpartum alopecia and then just unexplained hair loss and prescribed a steroid solution.  My thyroid was tested a few times and was always fine.  However my new Dr wanted to retest.  My labs came back as having TSH levels off but normal levels of T3 and T4.  He referred me to internal medicine and ordered an ultrasound of my thyroid.  He also said my iron was extremely low 11 (should be a minumum of 31).
I saw internal medicine and they said I have subclinical hypothyroidism and will get blood tests every three months and no other treatment is necessary.  My dermo then called and told me a mass was found on my thyroid and was about 3mm.  He said internal medicine would call me after they consulted an ENT doctor and decided what to do.  He said they would decide to do a needle aspiration or a biopsy.  After a week of not hearing from the internal medicine doctor his nurse finally called and said " o its just a cyst we will do an ultrasound in 6 months" we do not need to do anything right now,
So for both issues this doctor has said to do nothing.  I find it odd that it is just a coincidence that there are two things wrong with my thyroid but no need to do anything else.  I have mood swings, low libido, fatigue, can't sleep at night, racing heart with occassional palpitations, overall sense of unhappiness.  Should I receive another opinion?  Should I request more be done or am I just being a worry wart and this is common?  HELP PLEASE

Low libido in a 25 year old male.  One would think doctors would immediately check testosterone levels. But you'd be wrong.  Have yours checked.

3mm is very small and a retest ultrasound in 6-12 months is appropriate for that.  For the mild hypothyroidism with symtpoms, consider treatment w/ levothyroxine but w/ caution as you already have heart palpitations.  Would also test the TPO antibodies to screen for hashimoto's as the cause
