Is it Hyperthyroidism?

Hi all,

I'm in need of your help. I'm not sure how this all started but I remember few weeks ago in June, I was feeling weak, dizzy, had blurry eyes and all. I thought nothing of it until one evening just when I was about to go to bed, I laid down to sleep then all of sudden, I had what appeared to be a panic attack for absolutely no reason! My arms started tingling and tremming,my neck became hot, my heart rate went up and I could feel my heart pounding. It was a horrible experience, I thought I was going to die. I went to the ER b/c I didn't know what it was and they sent me back home saying I was fine ?? That was because I had calmed down at the ER... so back home, i slept fine anyway. It was just weird. The week, I was feeling fine, a bit glassy, weak here and there but I felt more emotional, sensitive than usual. One day I came home and started crying for no reason, prob to relieve myself. I went to take a nap then I had the SAME episode again! I freaked out and told myself to relax, breathe but ever since that day (abt 2 weeks ago), I have not been the same. I am more restless, nervous, have achy arms, lost my appetite (even though i do eat here and there), have anxiety every single day for no particular reason, I have lost weight, I have palpitations everytime I sit down or tuck in before I go to sleep, dry mouth, everytime I wake up, I awake to my heart beating and anxiety, the feeling of adrenaline rushes over and over, feeling weak and fatigued. I have difficulty falling asleep and I wake up early and have hard time falling asleep, etc. to be continued---

Hi, have you been to see the dr?  I know you mentioned the hospital, but have you been to the dr. to have your thyroid levels tested?  Sounds like I did, and it only got worse, believe me, you really are experiencing all the same symptoms that I did.  Keep in mind, I was a mess and even after my levels were tested, they came back normal, I had an antibody test to check for auto immune thyroiditis, and am positive, was diagnosed with Hashimoto's,  Do not wait any longer, you go to a dr. that will listen, your symptoms are progressing and they are going to continue, please get in to see a dr. right away.  To help with my immediate episodes of the heart palpitations and anxiety and such I was put on propranolol, this really helps, it really really does.  May not cure your thyroid, only treatment will, but it will take away those awful symptoms. You are not alone, i've been there, please go see your dr. ASAP!!!!

thyroid symptoms do have a way of making you feel mental!!!!  You had gone to The ER with very prominant thyroid symptoms, and it sounds that way to me. I thought I was a nut, when all this started.  I've always been a real nice, easy going, person and all of sudden I was a basket case.  This will do this to you.  You can't know for sure until you get your results from the dr, but like i've mentioned before, your symptoms sound like mine.  Also thyroid symptoms and such can just come out of the blue with no warning.  I don't think that is the case with anxiey disorders, but I could be wrong.
