Joint and muscle pain

I have some problems with joint and muscle pain along with "brain fog".  Depression is also a huge problem. I have no drive or zest for life.
I had some blood work done recently and the tests came back within "Normal" levels for tsh and t4.

I have recent weight gain (15 pounds) in the last month or so. Hopefully not related to the holidays.

Anyone have similar symptoms and have the tests come back normal?

the low testosterone and the positive RF may be the cause of the symptoms.  These levels would not have a significant effect on the TSH.

there is debate on what is "normal" - so there can be some evidence of thyroid problems even with initially normal tests.  Additional testing could include thyroid antibodies to see if this may be early hashimoto's.  The symptoms you list are common - both in thyroid and non-thyroid illness, so the symptoms alone do not make the diagnosis.

Thank you for your comments.
One item I forgot to mention is that I had some blood work done a few weeks prior to the latest and they checked my RF levels.  The test came back and I had a 74???.  This prompted my GP to run further tests.  I have an appointment with my Rhuematologist on the 16th of January.

One other item he checked was my total testosterone.  It came back at 174.  Really low according to the ranges...

Could this have any affect on the Thyroid or am I looking in the wrong direction?

Thank you for your time!!
