T4 to T3 conversion issue

In 2005 I was diagnosed with Graves disease by an uptake scan and lab values.  I took tapazol for about 6 months and all symptoms including severe anxiety, panic attacks, vertigo, sweating at night stopped. So I discontinued the tapazol.  I was fine until September 2007 I had a severe UTI my symptoms returned and my labs showed slight hyperthyroidism.  I am now diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis and still waiting to feel better. My Free T3 and T3 seem to be in the normal high and my FT4 is on the low side of normal.  Is this a false conversion problem (TBG is normal)?  Or if not could you give me suggestions on how to proceed forward?  I know that my normal is not being met just because the labs show "normal limit". I am having symptoms of both hypothyroid and hyperthyroid.   I am on no medications at this time. 03/21/08, TSH 18.5 H (.45-4.50), Free T4 0.4 L (0.6-1.6), Free T3 3.50 (2.0-3.5)
Prescribed Synthroid 50 mcg I could not tolerate it seemed to worsen the symptoms also still hyper & sweating at night. MRI was done for a possible pituitary adenoma (most likely the TSH one) and result was negative.
04/10/08  TSH  3.91 (.45-4.50), T4 Free 0.5 (0.6-1.6), T3 (not free) 219 H (60-180), Felt like I was hyper (sweating at night too). 04/22/08 TSH 3.37 (.45-4.5), T4 Free 0.7 (0.6-1.6), T3 Free 3.0 (2.0-3.5), TPO AB 715 (0-35), Still hyper symptoms (sweating at night too) 05/08/08, TSH  7.67 H, T4 Free 1.0 (0.8-1.8), Thyroglobulin antibodies 50 H  <20,Thyroid Perioxidase AB 667 H <35 Thyroglobulin 4.4 (2.0-35.0) Test done by DPC Siemens Chemiluminescent method, Hyper symptoms decreased. 05/30/08,TSH  3.7 (0.45-4.50),T3 Free 3.40 (2.0-3.5),T4 Free 0.7 (0.6-1.6) hyper symptoms had returned. Also had ultrasound on 05/09/08 showing enlarged heterogeneous appearing thyroid with increased flow.  Findings suggest possible thyroiditis.

I wasn't clear with what I wrote because I was miss dx with Graves.  I don't have it so how does that explain the T3 and T4?

The most recent labs are normal - the other labs are unusual but likely represent a hypo phase of autoimmune thyroid disease.  The higher T3 compared to T4 is not unusual with Graves.  It may take some time for things to settle out -- at this point, no specific thyroid treatment is needed and would continue to monitor.
