TO: Everyone Re: Info For Kelly In Memphis, TN

Dear Posters, There is a lady in Memphis, TN, named Kelly, who has a husband with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dementia. She has corresponded with me by e-mail after seeing an article that states; PTSD patients can have altered thyroid function. I didn't have much to tell her about this. Her husband was electricuted nearly ten years ago and they believe brain-dammage might be causing some of his symptoms. I do know that the pituitary and hypothalamous are in the brain and help regulate the thyroid. Could there be "post Traumatic Hypothyroidism"?
I really feel for this couple because he is having severe depression with this. I sent them a Cortisol/DHEA test for him to take, to see if his adrenal hormones have been affected (BodyBalance Brand-StressCheck) but I also recommended she have him get thyroid tests. I told them about "HealthCheck USA", a company that stes up blood testing. She said she is creating a website right now, on the subject and I'll post that web-address when she completes it but if you have info for her, I'll pass it along or tell her to look for it on here.

TNT, Thanks for your imput. YES, they have though about getting an MRI, to check for brain dammage etc... but haven't been able to due to cost. The husband has been trying to get on disability and even this has been a great struggle for them. He has been to Dr.s who actually thought he was faking his condition, so would not help him get the disability. He did finally see a psychiatrist who confirmed the dementia part of it and also said he has brain dammage.
I know they would appreciate your prayers too TNT. I'm going to go ahead and tell you his name is Faron because there's no way anyone is going to be able to get their personal info. from a first name. Memphis is a huge place. A lot of people have revealed their first names on this forum, so I'm sure I'm not doing wrong with this only. I gave you his name TNT for prayer purposes. My prayers are with you and your family too and I'm also going to have my brother request prayer for you, before his Church which he Pastors.
Thanks for your concern and Bless You & Your Husband!
