two different problems
Increased PTH must be interpreted with calcium level - if calcium normal (in the 9's) then test vit D as low vit D may cause elevated PTH. If Calcium high (>10, or even in high 9's) with high PTH then this is a parathyroid over-activity usually due to an adenoma (benign overgrowth) that needs surgical correction.
The high TSH means subclinical (mild) hypothyroidism - this should be retested in 4-6 weeks (to see if persistent or transient problem) along with TPO and Tg antibodies (to determine if immune system attack on thyroid). Hypothyroidism can increase cholesterol.
My Ca is normal, so will jhave to wait for the Vit D result, this puts my mind at ease. Thanks
