Tapazole dosing schedule

Dr. Lupo, a question about dosing of Tapazole. I've been on meds for a little over a year. Was doing well for 8 months, then I stopped taking it for a couple of weeks( to see if it was causing muscle pain, was only on 2.5 mgs) Doc increased it to 5 mgs. for 3 months. Went into hypo range, he didn't reduce it...  my labs were as follows:
tsh-4.21(0.35-5.5) free t-4 -0.84 (0.8-1.9) total t-3- 0.9 (1.10-2.00) low, he said we'd reduce it next time.
then 3 months later my tsh was 6.88 and the free t's were more in normal range, I had cut my dose to 3.75 instead of 5 during this time. he then cut it to 3 times a week. Went back in 3 months tsh had gone down to 0.30 (0.35-5.5) and my free t-4 was 1.02. No t-3 taken at this time, don't know why, he always tested it before.
Told me to take it 5 times a week, Monday through Friday...is this the standard proceedure to do this dose schedule? I would rather take it every day. You once suggested when I cut my dose to 3.75 to do: 5 one day, 2.5 the next and so on. This would equal 25 mgs a week, is THIS what he's going for?  I take it once a day, although I know people who do better on 2 times a day . Won't I have more breakthrough type symptoms taking it like this? I already feel racy before I'm due to take it again after almost 24 hours, I thought Tap doesn't last more than 12 hours. My doc is very close minded and is kind of old school, although very brilliant. Don't want to change dose but  I don't want to go hyper again either. I  stuck to the 3 times a week and My tsh dropped so much! Thankyou again for any ideas on this.

Usually try to dose daily -- 2x/day is only needed in cases of nausea with the medication or high dose requirements.  In your case would prefer a small dose daily over a larger dose a few times a week.  We work in 2.5mg increments - it's hard to quarter the tablets for most people, although some can do it to create the 3.75mg dose.

so to get the 25 mgs a week he's suggesting, would I do 5 one day, 2.5 the next and so on for the week, or just a straight 2.5 every day? Thanks again for your more liberal opinion on the matter.
