Thryoid in newborn

My baby boy have following levels of TSH .Please advice whether he require thyroid treatment. My wife have hypothyroid & is on Thyronorm - 10 mg tablet daily dose.

DOB 08/02/2013 .Wt. - 2.80 kg.

First test -( Day -7) :- TSH - 38.7 micro IU/ml - Doctor suggested to repeat same after 10 days.
Second test - ( Day -17) :- TSH -2.36 micro IU/ml  ; T4 - 9.2 micro gm/dl & T3 - 1.18 ng/ml.

The initial TSH would be consistent with needing meds - the second level looks good -- not sure if baby could wean off or not; I do not see children, so would defer to pediatrician.  Also you should be tested yourself for TSH and T4.

You didn't post lam ranges.  Can you post those?

But TSH looks like it went way down, from 38.7 to 2.36.  I think 2.36 is in the normal range, which is good news.
