I have just had my TSH levels come back from the doctor as 33 which I believe is high... I have had some symptoms before getting my blood test back but put this down to my thyroid...will my level come down? What does this mean for my own health?
This elevated TSH is concerning for a moderate-severe hypOthyroidism. Would discuss with your doctor a repeat test to confirm the abnormality and check TPO antibody to see if this is Hashimoto's (most common cause) and discuss treatment plans -- levothyroxine.
