calcium 10.1 on forteo

Hello,
My calcium level was in March after 3 months on forteo (for osteoporosis) and  was 10.1 in August after about 6 more months.  I have lost upper scalp crown hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.  Although my rheumatologist says the hair loss isnt from the drug- despite it started 2 weeks after beginning this parathyroid hormone and is a sign of hyperparathyroidism, I am a little concerned about the 10.1 calcium.  For now, I am still shooting daily forteo into myself as directed but am a bit concerned and want a 2nd opinion for peace of mind.... please, and thank you.

My experience with Forteo is that the calcium does not rise much and these are not common side effects - but it is possible.  Also, would re-evaluate pre-Forteo PTH and calcium levels to make sure you did not have mild primary hyperpara before starting Forteo.  If still in doubt, sometimes a break from the medication and a future re-challenge can help establish cause-effect.
