nodule measurement

I am confused by 3 different(doctors) ultrasound meassuremts of the same nodule in one week time. 1) SAG 0.3 cm TRV 0.3 cm =0.3x0.3x0.3 cm hypoechoic. 2) SAG 0.65 cm TRV 0.5 cm =0.6x0.5x0.5 cm hypoechoic. 3) 1.0x0.6x0.3 cm cystic. No symptoms of any nodules. For number 3 ultrasound I was told by doctor that picture of nodule looked totally black and than he drew an oval picture and tried to explain to me that the length of nodule was taken from center of this oval(longitutal)picture. He did not recommend any biopsy, but instead told me to come back for another ultrasound in 12 months.
1) There are three different measurements of the same nodule by three different doctors, but how do I know which is the most accurate?
2) There are SAG and TRV measurements of nodule on ultrasound 1 and 2 (in which both SAG and TRV measurements are similar and round),but is taking picture from center of this oval(longitudinal) picture that doctor tried to explain to me the most accurate method of measuring the length of nodule? If no,what is?
3.By looking at above number 1 and 2 ultrasound nodule measurement dimensions nodule looks round, but not on ultrasound number 3.Why Thank you.

Do either of u know what the measurement of a normal thyroid is or where I may be able to find such info? I have searched all over & can't seem to find an answer. I have just had an ultrasound & my measurements seem HUGE the report says both lobes are MARKEDLY ENLARGED so I would like to find out how my measurements compare. Thank You!

hard to answer which is best of three measurements -- but all these represent a small, likely cystic process that can be followed up in 6 months.

the measurement should be taken across the entire nodule (not starting from the middle of the nodule).
