thryroiditis

I have Hashimotos and have had two episodes of thyroiditis in the last 6 months.  When talking to the doc he said one of my levels should be at around 53 and it is over a 1000.  On the test before that it was over 1700.  What test could he be talking about?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hashimoto's is the most common cause of hypothyroidism and can be associated with goiter/nodules - ultrasound is important (I-123 scan seldom helpful) to look at size/nodules and TSH testing is key to determine if the thyroid function is appropriate/normal.

probably whants to make sure how big the tyroid glaind is  and also to see if you have any nodules or lesions they can usually see if there are nodule
and the centimeters of nodule and to see if it pressing on the nerves my nodule i have several hypoechoic lesions and  i wonder what  thyroid stom is do i  think i been going  through symptoms were to see if they are the same. all the scan tells them if they nodules and how big your thyroi gain gland so they can measure both sides to see if there  and elargement
hope you okay katie you will be fine
