thyroglobulin

I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma 2 years ago. I had a complete thyroidectomy with low thyroglublin tests and negative for thyroglobulin antibodies for 2 years. Follow up u/s showed no thyroid tissue.  I have had a thyrogen suppression test 3 months ago, and all is well. I had a recent thyroglobulin test showing 0.4 with in normal range. I should not be in normal range without a thyroid. What would account for thyroglobulin present im my serum thyroglobulin tests. I still have negative thyroglobulin antibodies with this test.

If you had thyrogen stimulation test 3 months ago this should have included a thyroglobulin (Tg) level - -ideally this is <1 (some say <2).
If the regular (non-thyrogen stim'd) Tg is 0.4 then would follow the level (using the SAME LAB) over time -- if increases (with the similar TSH levels), then must search for source.  neck ultrasound is the usual best test to find a recurrent/persistent problem.
