Is it possible that I could have hyperparathyroidism?Calcium 10.6, PTH 26, Vit D 17

I am 23years old. I have been experiencing extreme fatigue, non-existent libido, unquenchable thirst, high blood pressure (unexplained by other means), kidney stones and recently I've noticed restless sleep and hair loss. My internist basically laughed at me when I asked for her to test my PTH but I have had high end calcium readings for over two years and low vitamin d for the entire two year if not longer. My internst will not get behind my theory that this could be hyperparathyroidism because my PTH is in range and my calcium is not sky high. is this plausible or am I a hypochondriac? values are as follows : calcium: 10.6, PTH 26, vitamin D 17.

so far nothing is being done for the hypercalcemia. My internist said that it is in normal range and no action is needed. She put me on a high dose vitamin D but that is the only treatment. That is why I am looking for an endocrinologist in my area (south alabama) especially with Dr. Lupo's confirmation.  Thanks for asking. any developments with you?

Sounds like early primary hyperparathyroidism to me.

Hi, no you aren't a hypochondriac! I'm going through something similar but my lymph nodes are enlarged in my upper body, high, high WBC....and my calcium levels range anywhere from mid 10's and 12.8..... I'm still getting through all of the tests but it's getting frustrating. I know how you feel....
How ave they been treating your hypercalcemia? It's not something o just leave alone....
