Am I healthy ?

Hi,

I did my medical every 2 years and been informed that I might have a thryoid. Furhter testing showed the following results:

TSH : 0.008 range 0.4 - 0.5
FT4 : 8.3     range 10.3 - 24.5
FT3 : 8.2     range  2.3 - 6.3

My doctor still can't say for sure that I have thyroid as he cannot see any symptoms. My work causes me a lot of stress, and I hope it is really due to this instead of thyroid.

How can I say for sure that I do not need medication ? I am planning to have children this year.

Your labs indicate an overactive thyroid.  Would see an endocrinologist to determine the cause -- like Graves based on history/labs -- and treatment options.

It looks like you  might have what is called t-3 toxicosis. A high Ft3 level but a lower than normal FT4. It can be the start of thyroid disease. Get labs again in a couple of months and watch for symptoms of hyper or hypo.Sometimes if it's hypo you go through a period where your FT3 is higher than normal. It seems like this might be the case for you. Do you have any symptoms?
