would taking methimazole make may ankle and feet feel like there broke and can't walk on them. if so what should i try next, i have been on this drug for 6 months with my dr. increasing dosages
hi I was diagnoised with hyerthry-graves disease back in oct 2010 and every since then even thou my levels are at where they are to be at, I still have a lot of pain in my feet and calfs. my feet hurt at ankles and heel of feet and i get pain up my calfs with some times cramping. i have as my current endo and he says it could be something else. they hurt so bad after standing all day at work when i get home an sit for a minute and try to get back up I feel like a old lady and cant walk on my feet even when I get up from bed in morning its just as bad, I started all these problems with my thyroid that I can remember when I was put on gabapentin then changed to lyrica can this have started it and what can be the issue with my feet thanks
This appears to be Graves' disease - would see an endocrinologist for confirmation and treatment options. Usually we start with methimazole and use radioactive iodine or surgery if needed.
o Doctor,
I truly hope that you can help me out. I have been experiencing pain on my left side of my body along with strong palpatations, hot flashes and extreme soreness for the past three months. I am confused as to why I am experiencing such discomfort on my left side of my body, but my results from thyroid ultrasound were negative. Below I have pasted my blood results indicating my thyroid issues. In addition, I am have a very difficult time sleeping. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions?
tsh.03/normal range is .35-5.50
ft4 1.3
thyroid stimulating immunoglob is 6.0 tsi index /normal range is less than or equal to 1.3
Ultrasound was normal.
Thanks in advance!
I just want to thank you so much for helping us. God Bless your life .
